Cannabis trials update to NSW- Bring it on!!!

NONE OF THE NSW TRIALS HAVE STARTED YET ... HERE IS THE RESPONSE I GOT FROM NSW HEALTH
Thank you for your continued interest in the NSW Cannabis Clinical Trials Program.
The NSW Government has been working with the research groups to enable the commencement of these clinical trials.
The clinical trial for PALLIATIVE CARE has received ethics approval. The researchers are looking forward to commencing the trial as soon as regulatory approval from the Netherlands allows export of the standardised cannabis plant product that will be used in this trial.
The clinical trial for CHEMOTHERAPY INDUCED NAUSEA AND VOMITING has progressed to submission for ethics approval for the trial to commence. The researchers are working with the relevant Human Research Ethics Committee to expedite this process as much as possible.
The clinical trials program for PAEDIATRIC EPILEPSY is ** under development***. You may have recently seen that the Compassionate Access Scheme for children with epilepsy too severe to participate in clinical trials is underway, with patients being nominated by their treating neurologists for access. Protocols for the clinical trials using cannabividarin and Epidiolex® are also in development. A fact sheet regarding the compassionate access scheme is attached, for your information.
Your sincerely

Endometriosis and how Cannabis can help

ain when treated with AM251, a drug that inhibits the cannabinoid receptors and less pain when treated with WIN 55212-2.
...
Women with endometriosis are encouraged to avoid chemicals in their food, hair and beauty products and environment, in addition to using Cannabis therapy. Go green! Currently the only way to diagnose endometriosis is through a surgical procedure called a laparoscopy (often not covered by health insurance). Hence, diagnosis of endometriosis takes about a decade for the average woman. A simple biomarker of endometriosis, such as reduced endocannabinoids in blood or endometriosis tissue could save millions for the healthcare system and years of unnecessary pain for 176 million women suffering from the disease.
Endometriosis occurs when the tissue that lines the inside of the uterus, called the endometrium, grows outside the uterus. Endometriosis impacts 10% of women ... 176 million women worldwide!

DIPG single cell research to be continued

Since the first DIPG biopsy has been successfully sorted for single cell analysis a few weeks ago, the researches at Dana-Farber and MGH were able to isolate the RNA from the individual tumor cells. The RNA was then reverse transcribed into cDNA in order to be sequenced. After the reverse transcription the cDNA from each cell was tagged with a barcode (a short unique sequence of base pairs). The code enables bioinformaticians to identify which piece of cDNA came from which cell, later in the process. You can see the workflow depicted in the graphic below.
Before the cDNA is sequenced, the scientists need to make sure that the quality of the sample is good enough and that the reverse transcription actually worked. This is done by an electrophoresis of the sample. You can see the "quality check" electropherogram of the cDNA from DIPG cells in the graph below. The curve suggests an almost perfect sample quality and the sample concentration is more than sufficient for sequencing. This result is better than we could have hoped for!
In the next few days the first cDNA-pool of DIPG cells will be sequenced! The analysis of the data will take some time, but it will give the scientists a better understanding of the DIPG biology and is going to help them to identify new vulnerabilities of this disease.
We will keep you updated on any new progress!

Dr Simoncini Thery cancer is a fungus?

This is an old article, not sure if this has been applied or not to DIPG ever.
I have heard of the theory that cancer is a fungus, Dr Simoncini; Whether or not this is a proven fact i don't know. But this perspective is quite different than anything i had read before. DR Simoncini is a proponent of sodium bicarb protocol given by IV.

  • DIPG Brain Cancer age of diagnosis

The question of average age came up in another topics, so I did a quick analysis from the responses we got for the DIPG mapping. This was from 200 responses, so I'd say it's a pretty accurate depiction of DIPG diagnosis. The average age at diagnosis was 6.7. Ages 5-7 I would say is the most frequently diagnosed age range, and 4-8 would be the average age range.
