CBD potently inhibits CYP3A4 and CYP2C19

Richard Rose reports
Heads up:
"CBD potently inhibits CYP3A4 and CYP2C19 (a liver enzyme that acts on 5-10% of drugs in current clinical use, including the anti-platelet clopidogrel (Plavix), anti-ulcer drugs such as omeprazole, anti-seizure drugs such as mephenytoin, the anti-malarial proguanil, and the anxiolytic diazepam). These liver enzymes are needed to metabolize many drugs.
CBD is well tolerated and has a large therapeutic index but this can't be said for other pharmaceuticals and any alteration of liver enzyme metabolism can put a patient at risk of toxicity from the other co-administered drug.
In 1998, various researchers showed that grapefruit juice, and grapefruit in general, is a potent inhibitor of CYP3A4, which can affect the metabolism of a variety of drugs, increasing their bioavailability. In some cases, this can lead to a fatal interaction with drugs like astemizole or terfenadine.
The effect of grapefruit juice with regard to drug absorption was originally discovered in 1989. The first published report on grapefruit drug interactions was in 1991 in the Lancet entitled "Interactions of Citrus Juices with Felodipine and Nifedipine" and was the first reported food-drug interaction clinically.
The effects of grapefruit last from 3–7 days, with the greatest effects when taken simultaneously with the drug. In addition to grapefruit, other fruits have similar effects. Noni (M. citrifolia), for example, is a dietary supplement typically consumed as a juice and also inhibits CYP3A4; pomegranate juice has this effect as well."
The best advise might be to re-consider using CBD if the prescription drug has a grapefruit warning on the label.

Vitamin D in? Vitamin D2, D3?

What is the vitamin D in Cod Liver Oil?
Answer: Vitamin D3.
Cod Liver Oil is a vitamin D3 supplement.
Vitamin D3 OUTSIDE of the human body.
Here's some quotes from the link:
"What forms of vitamin D are present in fish and fish livers?
It is obvious from what has been written above that both vitamin D2 and vitamin D3 are available for fish in their diet, but vitamin D2 is almost absent in fish. The only form of vitamin D that has been identified at significant levels in fish oils (both body and liver) is vitamin D3."
"The Mystery Why Fish Liver Oils Only Contain Vitamin D3
What remains a mystery to scientists and marine experts is why the only form of vitamin D that has been identified in fish oils is vitamin D3. You would expect vitamin D2 would be present especially if vitamin D2 produced in phytoplankton was concentrated in the food chain. The main explanations for this observation include:
Fish have the ability to discriminate between vitamin D2 and vitamin D3 and therefore only concentrate vitamin D3 in their visceral oils.
Alternatively, fish or zooplanktons that consume phytoplankton have a similar capacity as Paramecium to convert the side chain of vitamin D2 into the side chain of vitamin D3.
There is also a possibility the bioavailability of vitamin D2 is lower than for D3 in fish." (End of quotes)

Vitamin D3 levels

Cancer. 2014 Feb 15;120(4):521-9. doi: 10.1002/cncr.28368. Epub 2013 Oct 25. Research Support, N.I.H., Extramural; Research Support, Non-U.S. Gov't

Vitamin D3 is a molecule (Cholecalciferol). It's the EXACT SAME molecule (Cholecalciferol) that is made by the human body.

Vitamin D3 is a molecule (Cholecalciferol). It's the EXACT SAME molecule (Cholecalciferol) that is sold in vitamin D3 bottles at the store..

Vitamin D3 is a molecule (Cholecalciferol). It's the EXACT SAME molecule (Cholecalciferol) that is in fish and FISH LIVERS.

There is no such thing as synthetic D3 (Cholecalciferol)

Cod liver oil is a rich source of vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) that is NOT MADE BY THE HUMAN BODY.

The NATURAL vitamin D in cod liver oil is vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol).

Cod liver oil is used by many as a vitamin D3 supplement.

Here's a quote from the link:
"The key is having the proper ratio of vitamin D to vitamin A in your body. To obtain this proper D/A ratio, you must make a choice. (1) Either obtain the D/A ratio Nature intended—that is, the ratio the human genome evolved on—or (2) assume one knows better and intervene in a closed system, bypass the controls in the intestine, and inject active A directly into your blood by taking vitamin A or cod liver oil. Vitamin A production is tightly controlled in the body, the source (substrate) being carotenoids from vegetables in your intestine. The body uses these carotenoid substrates to make exactly the right amount of retinol for your body. That is, it is a closed, tightly regulated, system, one designed to perfection by Nature. When you take vitamin A as retinol, such as in cod liver oil, you intervene in this closed system and bypass the controls. Proceed at your peril." (End of quote)

What are some of the reasons for chronic vitamin D3 deficiencies?

To get vitamin D3 from the sun (my favorite method), it has to be a certain time of year or day, the sun has to be in a certain angle, there can be no cloud cover, you have to have a certain amount of skin exposed etc. If these conditions are not met, your body cannot make vitamin D3 from sunlight. It's not uncommon for folks living in states with a good distance from the equator, with lots of cloud cover, air pollution, and long winters, not to be able to make vitamin D3 from the sun. Folks can literally go almost the whole year and not be able to make vitamin D3. Well, that's NOT NATURAL EITHER. Even if their bodies' chemistries are perfect, they are not going to be make vitamin D3 from the sun. That is going to lead to chronic vitamin D3 deficiencies despite their ''perfect'' bodies' chemistries. WITHOUT the vitamin D3 supplementation of cod liver oil, their vitamin D3 deficiencies would be even WORSE. Vitamin D3 deficiencies are NOT NATURAL OR HEALTHY. Vitamin D3 deficiencies are not healthy shortterm or longterm.

The natural vitamin D in Cod liver oil is Vitamin D3.

Here are observations by a prominent medical doctor on high doses of vitamin D3 on thousands of patients, covering over twenty years.

Dr. Joe Prendergast is board-certified in internal medicine as well as endocrinology and metabolism. He graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, completed a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, and fulfilled his research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He has served on many prestigious local and national committees and review panels including the American Board of Internal Medicine, the State of California Legislative Task Force on Diabetes and Obesity, and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. Among his many positions, Dr. Joe has served as an Associate Clinical Professor of the Department of Medicine at the University of California Medical Center and is currently a staff physician at Stanford.

Dr Joe Prendergas stated that the observations on heavy vitamin D3 supplementation, over long periods of time, were beyond amazing with no toxic side effects.

Some more AMAZING observations on healthy D3 levels by Dr Joe Prendergast.

Again, my focus is only on healthy D3 blood levels.

I'm not concerned about D3 supplementation.

If you want to use the sun to get your D3 levels up to a healthy range, that's fine.

Nano Mineral Water

Thanks Alex for adding me to this group. Someone in this group earlier asked about colloidal silver... I am working with a man based in the Netherlands who has researched and developed (over the past 13 years) nanoparticulate silver (a true silver solution, the efficacy of which seems to be much greater than a standard colloid) as well as nanoparticulate platinum (what I have now learned was the original positive "chemotherapy") with some astounding results. We have a lot of information we can share on Silver (and other elements) if people in this group want it. There is a website where you can ready some of the basic information about nanoparticulate noble minerals and their positive effects on your health and as long as the admin of this group is okay with it I will post it for you to study. Just let me know.

This video mentions some tests done with nano platinum and you may find the content informative -- at least I hope it is:https://www.facebook.com/nanomineralwater/videos/vb.535366993264417/615655601902222/?type=2&theater

Beware of Snake oil sellers

Good quality Cannabis  oil should not burn skin off from inside of the mouth. Please be aware of products added that are hazardous.  Push is their real product in this oil?  Without testing facilities standards of Steep Hill in Australia, than this is the problem the consumers face.

Add orange juice or tea to consume the mix, otherwise in capsules.  But we have to work on good quality product otherwise it is better to re-mineralise the body through tablets.  Cannabis is a carrier plant.

Vitamin D Deficiency to Cancer and Psychosis

What Vitamin D does is help our body absorb the minerals in our diet and supplements.

Low levels of vitamin D are attributed to a number of serious illnesses.. [http://bit.ly/1xs9F6t]
Study refutes claim vitamin D is not beneficial to health.

The Human Body is Bio-Electrical by Function

The Human Body is Bio-Electrical by Function!
The human body is electrical. It runs on electrons. It does not run on sugar, proteins are carbohydrates. It runs on the electrical energy from those foods. When the body is using energy in the form of electrons it produces an acidic waste product. One of the acidic waste products of metabolism is glucose. Another acidic waste product would be lactic acid. Each acidic waste product is a signature of that specific food. For example, uric acid or nitric acid are acidic waste products from protein. Understand?
So why do you eat food? You eat food for its electrical energy NOT its calories! You can also feed your body with electrical energy by absorbing right photons from the sun which are transformed into electrical energy. Yes! Light from the sun is energy food for the human body. Feed your body daily light energy from the sun and recharge your cellular batteries.
